Supporting You is Our Mission

We measure success at Hollins by how well our students thrive during their time here up to and through earning a degree. When you are accepted as a student, we seek to partner with you and to support you on that journey, to provide the resources and connections you need to complete what you start when you take your very first steps onto our campus!

A circular diagram centered on “Student Success, Well-Being, and Belonging,” surrounded by interconnected supporting strategies. Around the center are the following elements: Promote Social Connectedness; Success Coaching; Increased Touch Points; Deepen Reflective Resilience; Develop Life Skills; Parent/Guardian Engagement; Integrated Cross-Campus Collaboration; Peer-to-Peer and Alumnae/i Mentorship; Increase Help-Seeking Behavior; Culturally Responsive High-Impact Practices; and Promote Mental Health Services through a Public Mental Health Model. Together, these components illustrate a holistic approach to fostering student success, belonging, and well-being through collaboration, engagement, and proactive support.

That support does not come solely from our faculty, but from a wide range of offices and departments. The Office of Student Success, Well-being, and Belonging is intentionally organized to interconnect the many ways we seek to support you.

Mary Dana Hinton

In the face of criticism, lies, and pain, you are enough. On your very best day, on your very worst day, you are enough. Believe that. Rise with that.
