Media inquiries are welcome at Hollins. Our Marketing and Communications department will work to connect reporters with our relevant faculty experts and administrators based on the topic at hand. For assistance, please email Director of Public Relations Jeff Hodges at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 540-362-6503.
We Would Love to Tell Your Story!
If you are a student, a faculty member, or someone on our staff, we encourage you to reach out with your story ideas and/or photos. Be sure to include the who, what, when, where, and why. If you have an external media outlet in mind, be sure to include that, too.
Academic and Scholarly Achievements
Hollins faculty and staff members: Our news section regularly celebrates and spotlight your achievements, be it in publishing, presenting at a conference, receiving outside recognition, or in other ways. We are always looking for more ways to highlight our incredible teaching faculty and committed staffers, so please keep us in mind and informed.
Our students are incredible. Their achievements are a routine part of our news section, and we’re always looking for more opportunities to celebrate them as individuals or in their group efforts. Keep us in the loop so we can spread the news!
On-Campus Media Policy
Hollins University is private property, and as such, external digital, broadcast, and print media must seek permission in advance before engaging in photography or videography anywhere on campus. Media representatives should contact Jeff Hodges, director of public relations, at 540-362-6503 or email@example.com to gain access.
In many cases, the Marketing and Communications department at Hollins may be able to provide media outlets with still images or “B-roll” (stock video footage) of campus scenes and locations. To request photos or B-roll, please contact Jeff Hodges, director of public relations, at 540-362-6503 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Hollins boasts a picturesque campus that is a sought-after location for wedding, family, prom, and other personal photos, and for simply capturing images solely of our grounds and landscapes. Photographers and Roanoke area residents who wish to use campus sites for photo shoots must complete our Photo Shoot Request Form.
