Athletic Complex

The Hollins Athletic Complex is a comprehensive fitness and competition facility featuring exhibition courts for basketball and volleyball, a second auxiliary gym, Funkhouser-Fox Fitness Center, and a 40-foot climbing wall. Students have access to a fully equipped weight room, specialized training facilities, the Northen Swimming Center, and on-site saunas for recovery.

Located on the northern end of campus, the complex contains a full-sized indoor ring and 43 stalls with rubber mats. The main barn has an overhead fly-control system and a wash rack with hot and cold running water.

The entire Hollins campus is encircled by a 1.4-mile private road we call “The Loop,” used regularly by many of our students, faculty, and staff, as well as others in the greater Hollins and Roanoke communities.
