Laura Bacigalupo is a passionate music educator living in Roanoke. She began her teaching career as choir director at Franklin County High School in Franklin County, VA. Under her direction, students were consistently selected as delegates for All-District, All-State, and VMEA Honors Choirs. Her choirs also scored top ratings at state assessment each year. Laura is a member of the Virginia Music Educators Association and previously served on the VMEA Governance and Advocacy Committee where she focused to highlight issues impacting fine arts education at the local, state, and national level. Laura also has a strong interest in curriculum development and authored the Grade Six General Music course for the Virginia Department of Education’s Virtual Virginia. 

In addition to instructing voice at Hollins, Laura teaches private voice lessons and prepares her students for recitals as well as theatre and college auditions. As a performer, Laura has served as a guest artist with various ensembles across the Roanoke Valley.
