Hollins Welcomes Over 130 Students for Distinguished Scholars Weekend 2026  Visitors in the duPont Chapel for Distinguished Scholars Weekend 2026

Hollins University welcomed more than 130 prospective members of the Class of 2030 and their family members to campus Feb. 15 and 16, 2026 for Distinguished Scholars Weekend.

The two-day experience, organized by the Office of Admission, is an invitation-only opportunity for accepted students to enjoy campus tours, stay overnight in Tinker House, attend a resource fair, sit in on classes, tune into panel discussions, socialize with their peers, and interview for scholarships.

“There’s something really special about having these incredible students here and getting to see them engage in classes, connect with faculty, and spend time with our current students,” Senior Assistant Director of Admission Rachel Wilson said. “The energy throughout the event was wonderful. Distinguished Scholars Weekend gives us the chance to celebrate not only their achievements, but also who they are and what they can bring to our community here at Hollins.”
