Hollins University is once again featured in what USA Today has called, “The best college guide you can buy.”
Released July 11, The Fiske Guide to Colleges 2024 places Hollins among the “more than 320 of the best and most interesting four-year colleges in the country.”
Hollins is a university where “academics are the priority” the Fiske Guide says in its profile. “Hollins remains committed to the virtues of single-sex education. Students leave with confidence, critical-thinking skills, and intellectual depth, thanks to a solid grounding in the liberal arts. Professors are well regarded.”
Hollins also earns recognition in the Fiske Guide’s lists of “colleges and universities with unusual strength in each of nine preprofessional areas.” The university is cited in the following three categories:
- Small Colleges and Universities Strong in Film/Television
- Small Colleges and Universities Strong in Dance
- Small Colleges and Universities Strong in Drama
Now in its 40th edition, the Fiske Guide is published annually. It is cowritten by former New York Times education editor Edward B. Fiske.
