Omicron Delta Kappa (O∆K), the National Leadership Honor Society, is welcoming 34 Hollins University students as new members for 2024.
Founded in 1914 at Washington and Lee University, O∆K is the nation’s oldest leadership honor society, featuring more than 300 circles of record at colleges and universities across the United States. Less than 5% of eligible sophomores, juniors, seniors, and graduate students are selected for membership. Undergraduates must be in the top 35% of their class, and graduate students must meet stringent criteria set by each circle.
O∆K encourages cooperation among members across the five pillars of leadership celebrated by the society: academics and research, athletics, service to campus and community, communications, and creative and performing arts. The society also champions its leadership values of collaboration, inclusivity, integrity, scholarship, and service. Among its notable members are six Presidents of the United States, five Supreme Court justices, and eight current U.S. Senators.
