My F-1 visa is expiring. Do I need to renew it?

The F-1 visa is an entry document, which means you will need it to enter the U.S. If you are not planning on traveling outside of the U.S., then you do not need to renew your visa. It is legal to remain in the U.S. on an expired F-1 visa.
