Prospective Students: We’re Glad you Asked!
“Why did you choose Hollins?” “What are my housing options?” “What is a normal day like on campus?” “What do you do for fun?” “How does Hollins prepare you for life after college?” Students and faculty address several of the common questions prospective students ask about the Hollins experience when conducting their college search.
How to Apply
We are excited to learn of your interest in applying to Hollins!
In response to the uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, Hollins University is suspending the standardized testing requirement for students applying for admission in the fall of 2021.
If you already have SAT or ACT scores and are unsure about submitting them, we encourage you to consider whether or not your test results reflect your current academic ability. If you choose to submit SAT or ACT scores, your scores will be reviewed as part of our holistic application review process. You may self-report your test scores or send us official results. Please review our below instructions if you choose to submit your scores.
The following supplemental materials will be required to complete your application:
- High school transcript: Students may email an unofficial copy to email@example.com, or request an official transcript be sent from their school counselor.
- A secondary school report or letter of recommendation completed and mailed to Hollins by your counselor or academic advisor. (Extra letters of recommendation are welcome, but not required).
- SAT or ACT scores (optional)
- SAT code: 5294
- ACT code: 4360
If you choose to submit your SAT or ACT scores, they will be reviewed as part of our holistic application review process. You may self-report scores on your application for admission, send a screenshot of scores to firstname.lastname@example.org, or send us an official score report*.
*Note that verified scores are required for enrolling students.
