We found we had much to show and less to say. In the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hollins.edu\/magazine\/?p=316\">study-abroad photo contest<\/a> for students, for example, the photographs speak volumes about the range of options for Hollins students; and the photos of the products made or designed by \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.hollins.edu\/magazine\/?p=612\">Enterprising Alumnae<\/a>\u201d show that creativity is alive and well among alumnae. Also, be sure to try your hand at what I think is the magazine\u2019s first-ever <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hollins.edu\/magazine\/?p=332\">crossword puzzle<\/a>, which features Margaret Wise Brown \u201932, whose life and works the university is celebrating all year.<\/p>\n<p>We did depart from the show-and-tell approach to include a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hollins.edu\/magazine\/?p=425\">Web-only story<\/a> by Beth Jones \u201998 about how <a href=\"http:\/\/www.etsy.com\" target=\"_blank\">Etsy.com<\/a> has become common digital ground for alumnae who make and sell products.<\/p>\n<p>And don\u2019t miss the tribute to retiring professor of sociology <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hollins.edu\/magazine\/?p=306\">Bill Nye<\/a>, who for many decades has used jazz to inform his classes, his research, and his life.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you for taking the time to peruse this edition of Hollins.
