The race ends on Friday, May 29, just as Reunion 2015 begins. The reunion class year that crosses the finish line with the most students referred will be announced at the celebration on Saturday, May 30.<\/p>\n
With 185 referrals received so far, the class year in the lead is the 30th<\/sup> reunion class of 1985, with 14 referrals as of the middle of April. Two competitors are vying for silver: the class of 2000 with five and the class of 2013 with four referrals.<\/p>\n You can help keep Hollins ahead of the pack by telling a high school student about Hollins, and the admission office about her.<\/p>\n Refer a student: www.hollins.edu\/refer<\/a><\/p>\n \u00a0 Elizabeth Joyce and Hilary Bumm<\/p><\/div>\n \u201cYou asked; we listened,\u201d says Alumnae Board member Elizabeth Joyce \u201996. She has worked with the offices of alumnae relations and the president, along with bookstore manager Karen Callaway, Alumnae Board member Hilary Bumm \u201993, and Marian \u201cMarnie\u201d Livingston Vanderpoel \u201976, to create a new website (www.hollinsbookstore.com<\/a>) and improve the inventory of the Hollins bookstore. The website opened for online shopping in April. \u201cYou\u2019ll see revived tried-and-true classics, as well as new items for students, alumnae, and friends of Hollins,\u201d says Joyce, the owner of Elizabeth Joyce Monograms and Harbor Specialties, a shop in Charleston, South Carolina, that specializes in personalized and engraved gifts. Bumm is a partner with Speak Boutique Public Relations in Atlanta. Vanderpoel is an image consultant and wardrobe stylist at Doncaster.<\/p>\n In addition, the bookstore will move this fall from the lower level of Moody Center to a more visible location on the main floor next to the dining area.\u00a0All purchases benefit Hollins.<\/p>\n Details<\/strong><\/p>\n Changes to the Hollins bookstore.
