Illustrated by Susan Gal and published by Scholastic Press, <em>The Tower of Life<\/em> is the true story behind the <em>Tower of Life<\/em> exhibit at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis book will leave a powerful impression on every reader,\u201d stated the judges for this year\u2019s prize. \u201c<em>The Tower of Life<\/em> reminds us to always seek the light, and to always share the light.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hollins established the Margaret Wise Brown Prize in Children\u2019s Literature as a way to pay tribute to one of its best-known alumnae and one of America\u2019s most beloved children\u2019s authors. The cash prizes are made possible by an endowed fund created by James Rockefeller, Brown\u2019s fianc\u00e9 at the time of her death.<\/p>\n<p>Each year, Hollins invites nominations for the prize from children\u2019s book publishers located across the country and around the world.
