Students were scheduled to travel to Plovdiv, Bulgaria, considered by many to be the nation\u2019s cultural hub and in 2019 was named a European Capital of Culture; however, COVID-19 precautions and the geopolitical instabilities associated with the war in Ukraine necessitated a shift.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:2,&quot;335559731&quot;:288,&quot;335559740&quot;:220,&quot;469777462&quot;:[180],&quot;469777927&quot;:[0],&quot;469777928&quot;:[1]}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u201cWe hope to go to Plovdiv in the summer of 2023,\u201d said Jeffery Bullock, professor and chair of Hollins\u2019 dance program.
