Fees and financial aid

Tuition for the 2014 summer term is $775 per credit hour. Financial assistance in the form of student loans may be available. To apply, complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), found online at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov. Wait a few weeks for the paperwork to clear, and then contact our Office of Scholarships and Financial Assistance at (540) 362-6332 or sfa@hollins.edu to follow-up on the paperwork.) Students must pay a nonrefundable deposit of $400 within two weeks of their acceptance. Deposits are credited toward summer tuition charges.

If tuition were to remain the same in summer term 2015, the total tuition cost for completion of the certificate would be $18,600. Tuition is reviewed annually, however, and may not remain the same next summer.

Students are charged a technology fee of $75 in the summer. There are also fees associated with the particular courses totaling approximately $400.

Housing

Housing is available for 2014 in student apartments (private bedroom with shared living room, kitchen, and bath) or in dormitory rooms (communal kitchen and one bath per hall). The cost is $1,055 for the six-week term.
