Robin Ramirez came to Hollins in July 2014 as head soccer coach and instructor of physical education. After a nationwide search, Ramirez came to the Hollins campus after three seasons as the leader of the women’s soccer program at Eureka College.
After graduating from Fordham University, Ramirez embarked on a soccer coaching career that included stops at the middle school, high school, and club levels before landing as an assistant coach at Manhattan College in New York. During his two seasons with the Jaspers, Ramirez served as an assistant coach and director of soccer operations for the men’s program.
Ramirez earned his first head coaching opportunity in March of 2011 when Eureka College named him as the head women’s soccer coach. After inheriting a small roster, 11 players, his tireless recruiting efforts built the squad size to 17 players in just one year. After having the opportunity to bring in his second recruiting class, Ramirez led the program to their most wins in five seasons during the 2013 season.
