Kiah Kayser is a New York based scenic designer/artist originally hailing from Minnesota. She has just finished up another summer as charge artist at Ohio Light Opera while also designing Candide and La Perichole there. Kayser designed sets for Hollins Theatre’s productions of Fun Home, Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead, and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time. Her other recent design credits include: As Is, Come back to the Five and Dime, Jimmy Dean (Regeneration Theatre), A Piece of My Heart (Onomatopoeia Theatre), Primrose (The Ohio Light Opera), It’s a Wonderful Life (TheatreSquared), and The Little Mermaid, The Wizard of Oz (Story Theatre Company). She received her M.F.A. in scenic design from the University of Arkansas where she designed: Assassins, The Diary of Anne Frank, Twelfth Night, and The Chairs. In addition to her design work, Kayser had also worked as a scenic artist for Irish Repertory Theatre, Infinite Scenic, Variety 57, The Ohio Light Opera, Memphis Playhouse, Repertory Theatre of Iowa, Prairie Repertory Theatre, and Cedar Rapids Opera.
