Kate Rein

Kate Rein was named head coach of the Hollins lacrosse program in July 2018.

Coach Rein came to Hollins from Coker College (Hartsville, SC) where she was the head lacrosse coach. She served as an assistant coach for the DII Cobras in 2016. In 2017, Rein was named South Atlantic Conference Coach of the Year when her team posted the best record in program history. In addition to receiving the Coach of the Year award, Rein coached the conference Player of the Year while the program received NCAA DII Top 20 recognition.

Coach Rein is a 2012 graduate of the University of New Hampshire with a degree in psychology. During her time with the Wildcats, Rein was an America East All Conference selection as well as being named to the 2009 America East All Rookie Team and earned IWLCA Northeast All Region honors. After her senior season, Rein was voted America East Fan Voted Player of the Year.

After graduation, the Bay Shore, NY native began her coaching career at Longwood University of the Big South Conference. From 2013-15, Coach Rein was responsible for organizing practices, recruiting, team travel, camps, clinics, as well as player development.
