Kaitlyn Moffett Costa was named athletic trainer in August 2014. She came to Hollins after completing her master’s degree in kinesiology at James Madison University, where she served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for two years.
Costa worked with five different Division I athletic programs while earning her undergraduate degree in athletic training from Radford University. In the master’s program at JMU, she gained extensive experience with 18 varsity programs and the university’s sports medicine staff. Costa is certified as a Virginia Licensed Athletic Trainer, and is a member of the Virginia Athletic Training Association and the National Athletic Training Association.
The Harrisonburg, Virginia, native is responsible for all eight of Hollins’ NCAA Division III athletic programs as well as the riding program.
