Jenny Logan was named Hollins head basketball coach in July 2015. Logan was a four-year player for ODAC rival Bridgewater College, helping to lead the Eagles to a 71-35 mark during her tenure. After graduation, Logan earned her master’s degree at Lynchburg College while serving as a graduate assistant for the Hornets.
During her time at Bridgewater, Logan earned All ODAC standing after averaging nine points, five rebounds, and over three assists a game during a senior season that saw the Shenandoah Valley native serve as team captain and starting point guard. As a dual sport athlete for the Eagles, Logan showed the true spirit of a DIII student-athlete by not only excelling in athletics, but also in the classroom. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in health and exercise science, she went to ODAC rival Lynchburg College where she served as assistant coach and completed her master’s degree in educational leadership.
Logan most recently served as the assistant basketball coach at Mount St. Mary College in Newburgh, NY. Last season (2014-15), the Knights were able to bring in a seven player, first-year class while doubling their win total.
For the past six years, Logan has also served as an instructor for Point Guard College (PGC) basketball, a nationally recognized basketball camp, where she has had the opportunity to coach and mentor young basketball players from all over the country.
In the fall of 2015 it was announced that Logan will serve as one of the co-head coaches for the cross country program. Cross country returned to the Hollins roster of sport offerings in the fall of 2016. Logan, an avid runner and former cross country competitor, will team with Hollins tennis coach Brian Kastner to share the everyday duties of the program.
