Jeff Kresge is currently a member of the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra, principal trumpet of the Shenandoah Symphony Orchestra, and has performed with the Lynchburg and Charleston (WV) Orchestras, Opera Roanoke, and Opera on the James.
Kresge is cofounder and principal trumpet of Roanoke Chamber Brass, a quintet which performs in recital and educational settings throughout Southwest Virginia. Through the sponsorship of the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra, Roanoke Chamber Brass has created and presented several music programs to K-12 students in the Roanoke school systems. As a recipient of the “Parks & Arts” grants for 2013 and 2014, Roanoke Chamber Brass has presented similar educational music concerts in area parks throughout Roanoke.
As an arranger, Kresge has published several works for Brass Quintet. During the summers of 2011-13, he served as instructor of brass, and conductor of the symphony orchestra for the Governor’s School for the Performing Arts.
