Edwina Spodark, professor of French; B.A., Northern Illinois University; M.A., Marquette University; Ph.D., Northwestern University, has been with the French department since 1982. Her areas of specialization are medieval/renaissance French literature, computer-assisted language learning, teaching with the Internet, multimedia classroom instruction, and distance learning. Her article “Weaving the World Wide Web into Teaching the Culture of Quebec” in the French Review won the Edward Morot-Sir Pedagogical Prize from the Institut Français de Washington in March 2004.
