Hollins finished in the top 20 in seven different events on their way to an eighth place finish.  Junior Michelle Douglas (Chesapeake, VA) was named the winner of the Bonnie Kestner Sportsmanship award, an honor bestowed on just one swimmer at the Championships.

On day one, Claire Webber (Blauvelt, NY) came in 14th in the 200 Individual Medley.  Maggie Dwyer (Norwich, VT) added a top 20 finish when she came home 14th in the 500 Freestyle.

Day two for Hollins started with a 16th place finish by Meg O'Brien (Chattanooga, TN) in the 400 Individual Medley.  Dwyer picked up her second top 20 finish when she placed 16th in the 200 Freestyle.  On the back on breaking five Hollins records in the preliminaries and finals, Webber claimed Hollins first podium finish when she finished third in the 100 Breaststroke.

The final day of competition saw Hollins pick up two more top 20 finishes.  Dwyer added her third top 20 of the meet when she finished 11th in the 1650 Freestyle, the longest of the 18 events.  In the 200 Breaststroke, Webber set the Hollins record in the prelims and then bested that performance in the finals on her way to a fourth place finish.  In the final event of the meet, the 400 Freestyle Relay, the team of Dwyer, Webber, Aubrey James (Fremont, CA), and Sage Otto (Hampton, VA) finished the Championships by recording one the top five performances in Hollins swimming history when they posted a time of 4:01.89.
