For young women interested in business

Join us for a business-focused summer camp designed for international high school female students.

What you’ll learn from successful business women and men, entrepreneurs, industry experts, and Hollins University faculty:

  • Business models from start ups to large international corporations
  • Business plans
  • Branding strategies
  • Leadership styles
  • College majors and career paths
  • How to develop your own personal and professional brand on social media

What you’ll do during days filled with learning and fun:

Mornings:

Workshops, seminars, and hands-on, collaborative learning exercises where students develop innovative solutions

Afternoons:

Field trips to Roanoke area businesses, guest speakers, and video presentations from experts around the globe

Evenings:

Structured social activities with Hollinsummer: Business and Entrepreneurship participants and students from other Hollinsummer programs, such as games, movies, dancing and singing, cooking lessons, and hiking

Weekend trip to Washington, DC

Day 1: A Look Behind-The-Scenes

You’ll see the operations of businesses like DC area companies, nonprofits, startups, colleges, and other organizations.

DAY 2: Sightseeing!

Washington Monument, Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials, U.S. Capitol, National Air and Space Museum, National Gallery of Art, and more.
