You may register online or by completing the registration form (PDF) and submitting it by mail or fax. Faxed registrations must include credit card information. Payment must be received with registration.

Cancellation and refund policies

Refunds are available until April 1, 2017. All requests for refunds must be made in writing. No refunds will be given to those who must leave the symposium early.

Tuition & fees

  • Symposium: $395 (Student rate: $325)
  • Meal plan: $95
  • Lodging: $125


Housing is available on campus or at area hotels. Campus dorm rooms are fully air-conditioned with shared, hall bathrooms. On campus housing is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Room blocks are available at the Country Inn & Suites ($65/night queen, $75/night king; limited service; 540-366-5678; reference code 170611HWRB – Group: Hollins Workshop). Room blocks will be held until June 1, 2017.

Meal plan

Meal plan includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner served in the main dining hall. The dining hall offers a variety of food options, including vegetarian fare.
