Students pursuing health care careers often find that small colleges and universities offer many advantages. These include small classes, a close working relationship with faculty, and access to laboratories. Medical schools seek applicants with a solid foundation in the natural sciences. They also want students with strong analytical and communication skills. Hollins gives students both.
Hollins offers pre-med courses that correspond to the requirements for admission to most medical schools. Students should consult the Medical School Admissions Requirements for recommendations from specific medical schools. The pre-med program also prepares students for the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT).
