The library’s TV and production studio and control room provide the environment and equipment to instruct students on the theory and techniques of live multicamera television production.

The production studio contains:

  • three professional-grade JVC cameras mounted on Quick Set tripods and dollies
  • lighting grid with 24 studio-grade lighting instruments
  • three video feeds and five audio feeds

The control room contains:

  • Mackie soundboard
  • MightMix video switcher and digital-effects generator
  • three JVC control units for the cameras
  • Pinnacle character generator and frame store
  • JVC Digital S editing suite

Hollins’ editing studio is used to deliver instruction on video editing, video postproduction, and multimedia development. It contains:

  • four JVC cuts-only VHS editing stations
  • two Avid nonlinear edit stations
