Hollins was among the first colleges in the nation to offer an international study program — in Paris, in 1955. We combine outstanding classes, field trips, and specialized academics for a rich cultural experience.

At the conclusion of the 2018-2019 academic year, Hollins will be transitioning its study abroad opportunities in Paris to a new format that preserves the academic rigor, cultural richness, and distinctive experiences that have been the hallmarks of Hollins Abroad Paris. Beginning in Fall 2019, we will no longer run our own Paris program but rather offer exciting opportunities for our students through non-Hollins providers. Whether our students study in France or in another destination around the world, Hollins is fully dedicated to offering them an immersive, transformative adventure. For more information, contact Patricia Hammer, Hollins’ vice president for academic affairs, at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Exploring the City of Light
My room is a mélange of beautiful antique furniture and has an enormous window that fills the room with light. Paris, I think, could be my city. I could easily see myself in a little apartment in Montmartre or near the church of St. Genevieve.Johnna Henry
Living in Paris
Most students live with Parisian hosts to experience daily life in Paris and hone their conversational French. We have a variety of placements, so you choose to live with hosts who match your lifestyle. Most of our hosts have been with our program for many years and are highly rated by past participants.
Many of our instructors have studied and taught at the Sorbonne and other renowned universities in Paris. Our full-time director is a native of Paris who has studied and taught in the U.S. and is a specialist in French language and literature. She works with students to ensure each has the best possible academic and personal experience.
