Meredith Pierce Hunter '97 Joins Hollins External Relations

Meredith Pierce Hunter joined Hollins University in October 2007 as the Vice President for External Relations and oversees marketing, development, and alumnae relations for the University.  She is a member of the Hollins class of 1997.  
 
Prior to joining Hollins, she worked at Harvard University as the Director of Advancement and Planning at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study and before that at the Women & Public Policy Program at the John F. Kennedy School of Government.  During her time there, she also served as an adviser to first-year students and as a member of the 28th Harvard presidential inauguration committee.
 
She also spent time as the Manager of Principal Gifts at the Center for Women & Enterprise, a New England non-profit that helps women start their own businesses. Originally from Perry, Georgia, Meredith moved to Boston from Brussels, Belgium, where she was an international trade specialist for the Georgia Department of Agriculture.
 
She has served on the Board of Overseers at the Boston Children’s Museum and is a co-founder of the Hollins New England Alumnae Chapter. She returns to Roanoke with her husband Jonathan Hunter and their boxer, Maisie.
