The grants are presented annually by the American Association of University Women to help empower women in furthering their careers.
The English major has received a full scholarship from the English-Speaking Union to spend three weeks in Great Britain attending seminars at one of the world’s most esteemed universities.
Andolyn Medina and Cecili Weber, members of Hollins’ incoming class of 2017, represented the university at this year’s MAOTeen competition. Medina was crowned Miss Virginia’s Outstanding Teen in 2012, while Weber was Miss Ohio’s Outstanding Teen in 2010 and is currently the state’s Miss Capital City. She was named first runner-up in the Miss Ohio scholarship pageant in July.
Wyatt was the only student from across the country to receive the highest award given by the Fund for Education Abroad’s Hiliary Echo Douglas Memorial Scholarship.
