Tinker Day

On October 25, a motley mixture of students, faculty, and staff made the annual hike up Tinker Mountain.

What they ate:

  • 780 Krispy Kreme doughnuts
  • 5 sheets of Tinker Cake
  • 768 pieces of fried chicken
  • 180 pounds of potato salad
  • 120 pounds of mac ‘n’ cheese
  • 20 garden burgers
  • 120 pounds of baked beans
  • 80 pounds of red beans and rice

Distance they walked:

4.2 miles, round trip

Who else celebrated:

  • Alumnae in the following areas held Tinker Day parties: Southwest Florida, Fort Worth, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Hampton Roads, Richmond, and Houston
  • Richmond alumnae prepared twenty-five Tinker Day goody bags for current students from the Richmond area
