We will work with you to provide instruction and assignments that will complement your syllabus, improve students' research results and save you time!
The library will place books or films on Reserve for your classes; articles should be scanned and made available via Blackboard. In-Library use only designation is available for personal copies. Please turn your materials in early enough to allow time for processing, and include a course syllabus with your first request.
Your library card # is your Hollins ID barcode. The checkout period for faculty is four months. Courtesy notices for renewals and late materials are sent to you via email.
Note: Emeriti faculty have access to all library materials including databases.
FLEX On-Campus Delivery/Pickup
The library offers on-campus delivery of our materials (books, films and articles) to faculty offices within 2 business days; pickup service is available as well.
Items not available at Hollins or Roanoke College can be requested via Inter-Library Loan.
Your Liaison Librarian can assist you in identifying titles in a specific research area; he or she can also provide you with regular updates about new publications in your field.

The Hollins Archives and Special Collections offer access to unique materials, for research and for use in your courses.
To ensure that you are using the full access and functionality of our subscription databases, always access them via the Library web page, whether you are working on- or off-campus. You will be required to enter your Hollins University network ID to verify that you are a Hollins University library user.
The faculty publications list includes published books, articles, stories, poems, conference papers and other titles by Hollins faculty since 2009 .
The LibX Hollins Toolbar is a browser extension for Firefox that provides direct access to your library’s resources while you are browsing online. Use just select-right click to search titles of interest in the library’s catalog, Journalfinder or Google Scholar! For more information, contact our reference staff at 362-7465 or email@example.com.
