Course Name or Number Search

Type the course name or number you want to find, then press the Enter key or click Search.

Type as much or as little of the name or number as you wish. For example:

  • MUS 100
  • music appreciation
  • Zoology 201
  • comparative vertebrate anatomy

Professor, Lecturer, or Instructor Name Search

Type the name you want to find, last name first, then press the Enter key or click Search.

Type as much or as little of the name as you wish. For example:

  • Ogden
  • Ogden, Linda
  • Reuhlmann
  • Reuhlmann, Thomas

Policies for Reserve Items

The Reserve Collection contains books and films temporarily placed on RESERVE for students' use. Loan periods are established in cooperation with the professor and are usually:

  • 2 hours
  • 1 day
  • 3 days
  • 1 week

Two-hour reserve items may be checked out overnight 3 hours before closing. All overnight items are due back one hour after opening the following day.

In order to accurately select course reserve materials, you will need to know your professor's name, course, and course number. Reserve materials may be located by using the Online Catalog:

At the Circulation desk you will need to know the following information depending on the type of reserve; Call number or Prof (professor) Copy Number. Be sure to check the status of the item (is it available, or is the item checked out?). You may check out two items at a time. A flag on the item will indicate:

  • The loan period
  • The due date and time
  • In library use only material

Reserve items may be renewed if they have not been requested by another patron.

Overdue Reserve fines are as follows:

  • 2-Hour Reserves : $.50 Per Item Per Hour : $20.00 Maximum Per Item
  • 1, 3, and 7-Day Reserves : $1.00 Per Item Per Day : $20.00 Maximum Per Item


Please use the Reserve Request Form to place books or media on reserve.
