3rd Annual Hollins University Screenwriting and Film Alumni Weekend

July 4, 7 p.m., Niederer Auditorium, Richard Wetherill Visual Arts Center
Alumni Weekend kicks off with a special presentation from executive story editor Kelly Fullerton (MTV's Awkward, NBC's Next Caller, ABC Family's The Fosters). Kelly will screen an episode of the ABC Family hit series The Fosters and guide us through the process of taking a television episode from script to screen.

Listed by Refinery 29 as one of the top 29 filmmakers changing the cinematic game, writer/director Ana Lily Amirpour (A Girl Walks Home Alone in the Dark) will share her Sundance experiences along with her insights on writing, directing and photo booth etiquette.

Creator and co-executive producer of SYFY Network's hit show Helix, Cameron Porsandeh will screen the pilot and talk about his journey from film student to television show writer/producer/creator.

Closing Night Films and Dinner

We'll close out the summer with a group dinner in celebration of everyone's successful completion of the summer term. We'll screen the films produced in this summer's production course and announce the recipient of this year’s Klaus Phillips Memorial Scholarship.
