We offer basic primary health care for acute and chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes, colds, flu, allergies, stress, sleep disorder, anxiety, and more.
A central focus is womens health. We provide education and care in the areas of GYN services, nutrition, contraception, smoking and exercise. Pap and STD testing is done by appointment. Pregnancy tests are free and done by walk-in.
We offer immunizations for flu, meningitis and foreign country travel requirements. A licensed family practice physician will be available by appointment for ADD and ADHD medication refills.
Counseling services include individual 50-minute sessions with a counselor. A psychiatrist is available two hours per month for medication evaluation. All services are free to students except for specialized tests, immunizations, and some supplies. All charges are at cost. A student can charge to her individual Hollins account, pay cash, or write a check. Insurance is not filed from our office. Health Services will provide itemized statements if it is deemed a reasonable request.
Counseling sessions are free for six sessions per academic year. After six sessions a $20 charge will be incurred.
Referrals are available for health and counseling issues. We have many community health affiliations and relationships (mental and physical) and do not hesitate to refer students who may need or choose to have another provider.
