Defending Champs Too Much for Hollins |

After picking up their second ODAC win of the season, Hollins played host to the defending ODAC Champions on Saturday night. Randolph-Macon came into the match with a 7-1 league record, currently sitting in second place. The Jackets used a 101 to 87 attack advantage to take it to the home team. Hollins held their own in the first set but couldn't get any closer than 25-15. Macon got stronger as the match went on and cruised to a three set ODAC win. After a stellar performance in the early match against Va. Wesleyan, Ally Reed (Sterling, VA/Dominion) again led Hollins with seven kills. First-year libero, Morgan Russell (Peoria, AZ/Liberty) led Hollins with 13 digs while Reed added 10. Setter Jesse Deese (Cary, NC/Apex) paced the home team with 10 assists while Briana Taborn (Creedmoor, NC/South Granville) added three kills and three total blocks. The Yellow Jackets duo of Mallory Carter (12) and Jessica Sears (10) combined to kill more points than the entire Hollins squad. Bailey handed out a match high 26 assists while Marli Dabareiner led the way with 15 digs. Hollins will look to get back in the win column when they visit Eastern Mennonite on Tuesday night. The match with the Royals will start at 6:30.
