The Hollins University volleyball team hit the road for an ODAC match with Washington & Lee after having won four in a row at home, including an ODAC opening victory over Randolph College.  The conference powerhouse Generals were not a very hospitable host early taking the first set in quick fashion, 25-6.  Hollins got their legs and made the match competitive but fell in the second set as well.  Hollins put a scare into the home team in the third set but ultimately came up short 21-25 and fell to 1-1 in the ODAC.

Lauren Hays (Saginaw, TX/Boswell) led Hollins with six kills and three total blocks.  Junior Ally Reed (Sterling, VA/Dominion) added four kills and 10 digs while first year middle Mandi McDade (Eustis, FL/Eustis) recorded three kills, four digs, a service ace and a block.

M.A. Boles, 15 kills and 14 digs, led the way for Washington & Lee.  Megan Daily, Emily Hudson, and Shelby Flores each added six kills while Meghan Meleski added a team high five assists.

Hollins will stay in Lexington to face Maryville College later tonight.
