Hollins Defeats Guilford to Place Fifth |

The Hollins University tennis team played Guilford College in the fifth place match of the ODAC Tennis Tournament on Sunday. Hollins won two of the three doubles matches to take a 2-1 lead. Hollins took three of the singles matches to secure the 5-3 win and claim fifth place in the 2009 ODAC Tennis Tournament. Maggie Bai (China/Henan Shi Yan) finished her Hollins career winning at #1 singles and teaming with Katie Dotson (Clifton forge, VA/Alleghany) to win at #2 doubles. Shawnte Woodson (Waynesboro, VA/Waynesboro) finished her first ODAC season with a win at #2 singles and #1 doubles. Woodson teamed with Anne Ailstock (Church Road, VA/Dinwiddie), pictured left, to take that doubles match. Ailstock missed the final four regular season matches due to injury but made it back to go 3-1 during the tournament.
