Salem, VA - 2009 All ODAC Tennis Team, April 28, 2009

The 2009 All ODAC Tennis team was announced on Monday. Hollins had three representatives on the first and second teams.  Maggie Bai (China/Henan Shi Yan), top photo, earned first team honors at #1 singles. It marked the first time that Bai had earned first team honors after making the second team for the past three seasons.  Maggie compiled an 11-1 ODAC mark this season, 12-2 overall.

Shawnte Woodson (Waynesboro, VA/Waynesboro) capped a very successful first season at Hollins with a selection on the All ODAC second team at #2 singles and #1 doubles. Woodson finished the season with a 10-4 record, 9-3 in ODAC singles play.

Second year player, Anne Ailstock (Church Road, VA/Dinwiddie) made the All ODAC second team in doubles for the second year in a row.  Ailstock teamed with Shawnte Woodson to compile a 6-3 ODAC record at #1 doubles.  Due to injury, Anne was limited to only playing nine of 13 ODAC matches.
