Results

A week after their last match, a win at Shenandoah, the Hollins tennis team was back on the court as they traveled to Columbia, SC for a match with Columbia College.  Hollins is making the stop to play the Koalas before heading to Orlando, FL for a trio of matches over Spring Break.

Hollins won at #1 doubles but dropped the other two matches and found themselves down 2-1 going into the singles matches.  Hollins won at #1, #2, and #3 singles to get back into the match.  The Koalas won the next two singles matches and with #6 singles tied at one set apiece, the entire match hinged on the tie-breaker.  Tiffany Hodges (Vinton, VA) out-lasted her opponent and won the match deciding tie-breaker, 10-8, and propelled Hollins to a 6-1 record.

William Smith will be the first opponent for Hollins in Orlando, with the match scheduled for 10:00am on the morning of Tuesday, March 19th.
