Fredricksburg, VA - Hollins University Tennis at ITA Atlantic/South Regionals, September 26-27, 2009

The Hollins University tennis team competed in the ITA Regional Championships, hosted by Mary Washington University, this past weekend.  The Wilson/ITA Atlantic South Women's Championships featured the top NCAA Division III schools in the region.

Mariah Bryant represented Hollins in Blue 1 Singles division.  After dropping a tightly contested three set match in the opening round, Bryant bounced back to defeat Michelle Knight 8-2.  In Blue 3 Singles, Taylor Reedy defeated Katharine Yudkin (Mary Washington Univ.) 6-4, 7-5 to reach the quarterfinals.  Finley Vinson reached the quarterfinals in Blue 4 Singles by winning her match against Dana Burns (Christopher Newport Univ.) 6-2, 6-3.

Hollins will host the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Fall Championships in two weeks, October 10-11.
