Roanoke , VA - Hollins University Tennis hosts 2009 ODAC Fall Tennis Championships, October 10-11, 2009

Hollins hosted the nine team ODAC Fall Tennis Championships this past weekend.  Bridgewater, Emory & Henry, Guilford, Hollins, Lynchburg, Randolph, Roanoke, Sweet Briar, and Washington & Lee all participated in the two day event.

Hollins was represented in six of the twelve Flight finals.  Sarah Budrus, Anne Ailstock, Taylor Reedy, and Finley Vinson each recorded a 2-1 record in making it to the finals of their respective single's Flights.  In doubles, the team of Shawnte Woodson and Mariah Bryant as well as Vinson and Katie Dotson also won two matches before being stopped in the finals.  National Power Washington & Lee swept all eight single's Flights as well as all four in Flights in doubles.

The tournament was the final weekend of competition for the Hollins squad this Fall.  They will resume play in February when they begin their Spring season with a trip to Guilford College on the 21st.
