Guilford, NC - Hollins University Tennis at Guilford College, February 21, 2010

The Hollins University tennis team opened their spring season with a trip to Guilford College on Sunday afternoon.  After having limited practice time outdoors, Hollins was able to get the season off to a good start with an ODAC win over the Quakers.

Hollins only lost one set en route to winning 11 matches verses just one loss.

Sarah Budrus and Anne Ailstock each won their singles matches and teamed together to win at #1 doubles, 8-3.  Shawnte Woodson and Finley Vinson followed suit by winning as individuals and then teaming together to when their doubles match, 8-3.  Karen Montoya and Mariah Bryant added victories in singles while Ziray David and Trudy Sizibi teamed to win their doubles match, 8-2, after each winning in singles.

Hollins will host Mary Baldwin college on Wednesday afternoon.  The match will start at 3:00pm.
