Results

The Hollins swimmers hosted Gallaudet and Greensboro in a tri-meet on Saturday afternoon.  After swimming in two "Invitational" style events this season, it was the first time the Hollins swim team went head to head in the pool against another squad.  Hollins enjoyed swimming in their own pool for the first time this season as they won 66-29 against Gallaudet.  The match-up against the Monarchs was a little closer but Hollins ran their record to 2-0 on the season with a 57-37 victory over Greensboro.

Hollins won six of the 11 events on the afternoon.  Maggie Dwyer (Norwich, VT) 200 yard Freestyle then came back later in the meet to win the 100 Butterfly.  Kara Berman (Chapel Hill, NC) won the 1000 Freestyle while Meg O'Brien (Chattanooga, TN) took first place points in the 500 Freestyle.  Sage Otto (Hampton, VA) also picked up a win for the home team when she won the 100 Freestyle.  Dwyer and Otto teamed with Audrey James (Fremont, CA) and Devyn Whitlock (Stafford, VA) to win the final event of the afternoon, the 200 Freestyle Relay.

Hollins will stay at home this week as they host VMI on Thursday night.  The night against the DI Keydets is scheduled to begin at 7:00pm.
