Hollins University

Emory , VA - Hollins University Soccer at Emory & Henry College September 29, 2009

Hollins traveled south to battle Emory & Henry College on Tuesday night.  The home team scored first but Hollins answered with two early second half goals.  The Wasps were able to rally to tie the score and then net the game winner with only 15 minutes left in the match.

Trailing 1-0 at the break Hollins was able to take the lead when Ashley Cassidy (Vinton, VA/Staunton River), pictured left, scored on a pass from Colleen Thamm (Manassas, VA/Battlefield).  Thamm then added a goal of her own when she scored on an assist by first year defender Melissa Hubbard (Fairfax, VA/Chantilly).  However the Hollins lead was short-lived.  Emory & Henry got the tying goal just six minutes later when Tosin Sanusi scored off a pass from Nikki Greco.  Greco then scored the game winner less than three minutes later.

Hollins will return home to face ODAC power Lynchburg College on Sunday afternoon.
