Hollins Riding Team Takes Reserve Championship at UVa Horse Show; Three Riders Qualify for Zones

 

The Hollins riding team captured Reserve Champion honors at the IHSA Horse Show hosted by the University of Virginia on Saturday, February 25, 2012. Standout individual performances included:

• Emma Lane Poole '13 – 1st, Open Fences; 4th, Open Flat
• Sarah Brown '13 – 4th, Intermediate Flat
• Meaghan Crowley '14 – 2nd, Intermediate Fences
• Caitlin Shipe '13 – 3rd, Novice Flat
• Caroline Flaherty '15 – 6th, Advanced Walk Trot Canter
• Cecelia Parks '14 – 3rd, Novice Fences
  
  

Hollins placed third overall in Zone 4 Region 2 for the 2011-12 season.

At the Zone 4 Region 2 Regional Finals, also at UVa on February 25, the following riders earned recognition:

• Emma Lane Poole '13 – 1st, Open Fences; 3rd Open Flat
• Sarah Brown '13 – 2nd, Intermediate Fences
• Blair St. Ledger-Olson '13 – 3rd, Intermediate Flat; 3rd Intermediate Fences
• Kristina Sprenkle '13 – 5th, Intermediate Flat
• Sarah Jarosinski '12 – 6th, Intermediate Fences
• Catherine Hensly '14 – 2nd, Walk Trot Canter
