Roanoke, VA - Hollins University Lacrosse vs Trinity College March 13, 2010

Hollins hosted Trinity College form Washington DC on Saturday afternoon.  It was the second straight non-conference game for Hollins to start the season.  Trinity struck first just 40 seconds into the game and followed it up with another goal two minutes later.  Hollins answered with two goals to tie the game at 2-2.  After another Tiger goal, Hollins scored six unanswered to take an 8-3 halftime lead.  Hollins outscored the Tigers 6-5 in the second half en route to a 14-8 victory.

Cait DiMondi (Dover, DE/Dover) led the way for Hollins with eight goals.  Erika LaWall (Cary, NC/Apex), left, scored two goals and assisted on four more for Hollins.  Erica Bruce (Crownsville, MD/Severn School) added four goals and an assist while Kelsey Kriz (Glen Allen, VA/Deep Run) added two assists.

Trinity was led by Bianca Sullivan and her four goals.  Brenda Martinez chipped in with two goals and two assists while Rebeka Bautista and Stefonie Kelly each scored a goal.

Hollins will stay out of conference when they travel to Winchester, VA to face Shenandoah University on Monday night.  The game will start at 7:00pm.
