Mamaroneck, NY - Hollins University Golf at NYU/Manhattanville Golf Classic, October 17-18, 2009

The Hollins University Golf team continued to battle the elements this fall.  With the 36 hole NYU Manhattenville Golf Classic shortened to 18 holes, the golf team was unable to make up a first day deficit and fell to NYU.

Unable to play a practice round, Hollins teed off on the par 72 Hampshire Country Club on Saturday afternoon with having only been able to walk the course the day before.  Despite the weather and travel, two Hollins golfers finished in the top ten.  Sara Nunnally (Wilmington, NC/New Hanover) placed seventh and Cressy Lee (Fairfax, VA/Chantilly), left, finished tied for eighth.

Hollins has finished the fall portion of their schedule and will resume play in the spring.
