2011-12 NGCA Award Winners

The National Golf Coaches Association has announced the 2011-12 student-athlete and coaches awards for Division III Women’s Collegiate Golf.  Winners were recognized at the NGCA Division III Awards Banquet held in Angola, Indiana.  Hollins golfer Elizabeth Cheng was named to the All East Region team. 

The sophomore from Virginia Beach finished her season with six top 10 and two top five finishes in the seven tournaments in which she competed.  Elizabeth finished seventh at the highly competitive Jekyll Island Collegiate, a tournament that featured 11 of the top 25 teams and 24 of the top 75 individual golfers in the country.

It was the second time Cheng had been honored by the NGCA as she was named to the All-American Scholar Team for Division III a season ago.
