Clarkesville, GA - Hollins University Golf at the Piedmont College Spring Invitational March 8-9, 2010

The Hollins University golf team competed for the first time this spring when they played in the Piedmont College Spring Invitational on March 8th and 9th.  The event was held at The Orchards Country Club in Clarkesville, GA and featured seven women's teams. 

Jacquiline (J.R.) Woolwine (Fairfax, VA/Fairfax), left, finished in a tie for seventh in the 46 player field.  Woolwine's score of 174 was just three strokes from finishing in the top five.  First year golfer Cressy Lee (Fairfax, VA/Chantilly) shot a two round score of 176 and finished in a tie for ninth. 

Hollins finished in sixth place, three strokes behind Huntingdon College.

Hollins will next compete in a dual match with SUNY Cortland on March 20, 2010.
