Bill Mannino was named head golf coach at Hollins University in 2007. He enjoyed a distinguished collegiate golfing career at Temple University, leading the Owls to an Atlantic 10 Conference title and four NCAA Tournament qualifications between 1993 and 1996. Mannino’s individual highlights include an Atlantic 10 Conference Tournament medalist championship in 1993 and winning the Fairleigh Dickinson Tournament in 1996. That same year, he captained the Temple golf team as a senior.
After a successful 2012-13 season, Mannino once again coached a golfer in the NCAA DIII National Tournament field. After winning the prestigious Jekyll Island Collegiate, Elizabeth Cheng finished in a tie for 12th at the national championships.
In addition to leading a pair of golfers to the NCAA National Tournament, Mannino has seen three golfers earn All American Scholar status. The ODAC started sponsoring women’s golf in 2012-13 and since then Mannino has helped place three different Hollins golfers on All-ODAC teams. Cheng graduated in 2014 as a two-time All-American, two-time ODAC Women's Golf Scholar Athlete of the Year, and two-time Hollins Sportswoman of the Year.
